Charles H. Otis, born 1854, was an accomplished tool and die maker. He was successful in his trade having many patents to his name and was sought by local firms for his innovative ideas. Mr. Otis was chosen to build machinery for the Centennial Exhibits in 1876, Philadelphia. He had a wife, Phebe and 3 children, Charles, Samuel and Bessie.
